Janet Evanovich is an American writer who consistently ends up on the New York Times bestseller list. Evanonivch was born in New Jersey, and had a housewife and a machinist for parents. She did well in school, going so far as to be the first member of her family to attend a university. She attended Douglass College, which was part of Rutgers University, and while there she decided to study art. After graduating, Evanovich did settle down and have children.
